Latest company news about What is Power Winch?

Power winch is a device that pulls, lifts or drags heavy objects by winding ropes (wire ropes, nylon ropes, etc.) mechanically or electrically. It is widely used in off-road vehicle rescue, ship towing, engineering operations, industrial lifting and other fields.

According to the power classification, it is usually divided into electric winch, gasoline winch, and diesel winch. They have different characteristics and uses.

1. Electric winch: The power used comes from electricity, and it is easy to install. It is suitable for light and medium loads. It is generally used for off-road vehicle self-rescue and small towing.

2. Gasoline winch: The power used comes from gasoline, which is transmitted by the engine. It is usually suitable for medium and large loads and is widely used in various construction scenarios.

3. Diesel winch: The power used comes from diesel, which is transmitted by a diesel engine. It has greater power and higher power than gasoline winches, and is usually used in place of gasoline winches.

The winch consists of a power source, a gear set, a drum, a clutch, a braking system, and a control device. We have already introduced the power source above. The drum, clutch, brake system and control device are usually not much different in different winches, and the gear set has different forms in the winch.

1. Belt drive: The power device of the winch drives the gear to rotate, and the gear drives the drum group through the belt, which is a belt drive. This transmission method avoids direct contact between the power device and the drum, and is slower and safer. In the event of an accident with the power device or the drum, it can prevent the other part from being damaged.
2. Shaft drive: The power device of the winch directly drives the drum group through the gear. This transmission method has a faster speed and usually greater power. The structure is more compact than the belt drive.

Safe operation:
Make sure the fixed point (such as a tree or rock) is strong enough.
Using a pulley can double the pulling force, but the load needs to be calculated.
Avoid sudden loosening of the wire rope (which may cause the risk of "rebound")

Maintenance and maintenance:
Check the wear of the wire rope regularly.
Electric winches should avoid long-term continuous operation to prevent the motor from overheating.
Gasoline winches and diesel winches need to be checked for oil leaks.
