The Suntech 50kN manual chain hoist is a steel lifting block with a mechanical brake, built for lifting, pulling and tightening on transmission line and substation work. The 50kN model uses a two-row lifting chain and a 600mm hook spacing, giving controlled lift where powered equipment cannot reach.
Where It Is Used
These hoists are a daily tool for line crews and rigging teams: lifting conductor hardware and machine parts during construction, and applying traction to tighten steel and aluminium stranded wire. Because the drive is fully manual, the hoist works on towers, in substations and on remote sites with no power supply.
How the Mechanical Brake Helps
The mechanical brake holds the load the moment the operator releases the hand chain, so a raised part or a tensioned wire stays put while hands are free to work.
